Walk for Darfur & New Pieces
April 18, 2013 in Galleries & Events, New Stuff
This past Sunday, I had the wonderful opportunity to set up a table selling prints at the Jewish World Watch‘s midtown LA Walk to End Genocide in Darfur. Thank you to all who came by the table, and especially to those who purchased or ordered prints! Half of all sales proceeds are going to the cause, the other half to recover printing expenses and what’s left will go toward HUC tuition. I’ll post the exact donation amount once I finish accounting so you can see how much you helped JWW’s worthy cause!
If you’re one of the people who had come by the table and wanted to purchase a print later from this website, when you check out, write “Jewish World Watch” in the notes/comments and I’ll pass along the same amount to the cause that I would have if you’d purchased at the Walk. If you’re looking for a specific piece but can’t find it on the site yet, email me and I’ll make sure to prioritize getting that print’s product page completed.
I also finished several new pieces, so look for them to be posted to the gallery and shop soon!
I finished uploading images for Parashat Bo this week, and I’m currently working on editing the raw scan files for Parashat Chol HaMoed Pesach, Chamsa II, Shalom Rav, Parashat Va’eira, Parashat Lech L’cha, Parashat Vayakheil-Pikudei, and Parashat Ha’azinu, as well as a Pomegranates Greeting Card. Finals are very soon, though, so please be patient if I prioritize schoolwork over web design for the next 3 weeks!
ALSO: If you’re aware of any events looking for or accepting applications for art vendors, please email me! I had so much fun tabling for this event that I’d jump on any opportunity to do it again, especially during the summer (when I don’t teach Sunday school) or on days other than Sundays during the school year because I hate missing valuable time with my students.
